The Rush cemetery is also known as the Gabriel Rush Cemetery and is located on what used to be the farm of Clarence and Laura J. Dodd. It is located between Palmyra and Hannibal, Missouri in Marion County, Mo. Directions: From Hannibal, take Highway. 61 N. turn Right on Highway 168 to Left on county road 404 and left on county road 409. It is on the right and not marked. Sometimes there is corn planted and it cannot be seen from the road. My great grandmother, Ida Armstrong- Bowen, wife of Charles Bowen had cleaned the cemetery and took care of weeds and such until she became unable to care for it. She died in 1953. She too is buried here near her Father Jesse Armstrong, Mother Martha, Daughter Gladys and son Harley.
