Description |
RENSSELAER,
MO - This is the picture of one of the last classes at Big Creek School
(Ralls County School #5) and the teacher, Miss Jane A. Terrill.
This school was a one room school house for African American students. It
closed several years later when the schools in Missouri were
integrated. The large building in the background was the former
Rensselaer Academy and Church. The building directly behind the
class was the original academy. |
