Description HANNIBAL, MO -  This article and picture appeared on February 11, 1933 in "The Hannibal Courier-Post" newspaper.  Celia Ann Allen, aka "Aunt Seeley" was a former slave, believed to have been born in the administration of James Madison, fifth president of the United States.  She was brought to Missouri in 1841 by the family that owned her, and, after gaining her freedom, stayed in the area.
