| Description | HANNIBAL, MO - The Hannibal Courier-Post announced the sad passing of Celia Ann Allen, aka "Aunt Seeley" in its January 8 issue. The former ex-slave was believed to be 116 years old. She was buried in the Catholic Cemetery of Brush Creek (located south of Monroe City, Mo. - Directions on how to get there from Hannibal : Take Highway 36 West about 7 miles to State Route DD. Turn south on DD going about 3.5 miles where DD turns into Sydney Road. Continue south about one mile where Gentry Road will turn west [right] off Sydney Road. The Church will be a short distance on the north [right] side.) |
