| DESCRIPTION | THE PLANT - Even during the early stages of its foundation, the importance of the Atlas Portland Cement Company's carpenter shop is evident. The brick foundation shows four tall doorways, one per wall. The heights of these doorways prove that this building will be at least two stories. Its importance is also evident by the vast square footage shown in the picture. In the distance is the Mississippi River. |
