| DESCRIPTION | THE PLANT - This is all that is left of the General Office after the fire of February 15, 1906. The office was located in one of the original two-story frame structures erected when the plant was first built. Originally it was thought that most of the plant's paperwork, etc. was lost, but according to the Hannibal Courier-Post, "The loss of books, records and other office materials is not so great as was first reported, nor will the interruption to business [will] occur ; everything will move along as usual." |
