DESCRIPTION |
THE PLANT - This is the storehouse after
the fire of February 15, 1906. The storehouse was located in one of
the original two story frame structures erected when the plant was
built. The icicles give testament to the time of year and amount of
water used to fight the flames. Although the two employees shown on
the right side are unidentified, it is proof of the Hannibal
Courier-Post quotation: "The flames and smoke had no sooner
died away than an army of workmen were engaged in clearing away the debris
and otherwise preparing the site for rebuilding." |
