THE POWER - This is another view of the
Watts-Campbell Engine in the Power House. The engine is partially
below the floor level. The railing around the engines (colorized in
red) gives an idea as to how lethal the machine parts could be to workers
who got too close or were careless. A second such engine can be seen on
the left side of the picture. |

an addition to the picture). The picture has been glued to a woven
material that extends beyond the left side of the picture. A thin
cardboard has been glued over the length of this extension ; on the bottom
of this strip the designation "1-H" is written. |
