DESCRIPTION |
THE PLANT - This is one of the shale
quarries of the Atlas Portland Cement Plant in its early years. Upon
close examination the striations are visible. Removing this shale
required a lot of backbreaking labor much of which was performed by
immigrant laborers from southern Europe living in the company town of
Ilasco. |
