DESCRIPTION |
THE PLANT - Two laborers, shovels in
hand, pose at the base of part of the cliff of the Shaleton Shale
Quarry. Although neither of these men are identified, it is safe to
assume that they were immigrant laborers living in the company town of
Ilasco. This picture is an excellent example of the wounds left in
the hillside by quarrying. |
