| TITLE | Section of No. 7 Quarry After Blast (Panel 1) |
| DATE OF ORIGINAL | 1907-5-24 |
| DATE OF DIGITAL | 2006-2 |
| DESCRIPTION | THE PLANT - This is a portion of No. 7 quarry after the large blast. In the first picture (#C10079), the tree line behind the cliffs is confined to the left side only. In this picture, the expanse of the trees extends across the width of the picture. That gives a very good idea as to the power exerted by 2700 pounds of dynamite. Imagine how dangerous it must have been for the dynamiters when setting such a charge. The two laborers in the foreground are unidentified, but it is safe to assume they were probably southern and central European immigrants living in the company town of Ilasco. |
