| DESCRIPTION | THE PLANT - This is 1/5 of a picture of one of the limestone quarries of the Atlas Portland Cement Company in its early years. There are railroad cars of the Hannibal Connecting Railroad showing, all of them filled with limestone pieces to be taken to the plant. This Railroad was owned and operated by the company. To the left are three empty wagons used to bring the product to the railcars. One delivery was probably recent, as a horse is still harnessed to one of the wagons. |
