DESCRIPTION |
THE PLANT - This is 1/5 of a picture of
one of the limestone quarries of the Atlas Portland Cement Company in its
early years. There are railroad cars of the Hannibal Connecting
Railroad showing, all of them filled with limestone pieces to be taken to
the plant. This Railroad was owned and operated by the
company. To the left are three empty wagons used to bring the product to
the railcars. One delivery was probably recent, as a horse is still
harnessed to one of the wagons. |
