DESCRIPTION |
THE PLANT - This is 1/5 of a picture of
one of the limestone quarries of the Atlas Portland Cement Plan in its
early years. This picture gives an excellent idea as to how the
limestone was quarried from the rock face (the flat ridges on the cliff's
wall). The railroad tracks and empty wagons are still in evidence. |
