THE PLANT - This is 1/4 of a picture of
one of the shale quarries of the Atlas Portland Cement Company in its early
years. The railroad tracks end here. On the left are a number
of laborers, none of whom are identified, but it is a safe assumption that
they were immigrants from Central and Southern Europe who lived in the
company town of Ilasco. |

when gluing the picture to the woven material on the back) ; the number
