THE PLANT - This is 1/4 of a
picture of one of the shale quarries of the Atlas Portland Cement Company in
its early years. This picture gives a good perspective as to how
high these shale cliffs really were in comparison to the employees and
horse drawn wagons seen at its base. None of the laborers are
identified. |
