DESCRIPTION	THE PLANT - A number of workers are preparing this site for the kiln building of plant no. 5.  No tracks are laid here as yet.  The work is all done by man and horse.  On the right several men operate a tiller ; on the left shovels and pickaxes are being utilized.  None of these employees are identified.

ORIGINAL FORMAT	Black and white photograph ; 9 1/2" by 7 1/2", fraying on upper right, lower right and lower left corners and along bottom of picture ; the number "685", followed by a period and smudged, is written in the upper right corner.  The picture is glued to a woven material background that extends beyond the left side of the picture.  This material has several puncture holes (for insertion into a binder).   (685)
