| DESCRIPTION | ILASCO, MO - This picture shows how large the Quarry crew of the cement plant was. Keeping in mind that this was still the Depression, the number of employees in this one section of the plant alone, shows how prosperous the plant was. Even in hard times cement was still in high demand. Although none of the employees are identified, many of them were probably second or third generation from the original immigrant workers. |
