DESCRIPTION |
ILASCO, MO - Gaspar Homolos
immigrated to America in 1902, first to Painesville, Ohio, and then to
Ilasco where he worked in the Atlas Portland Cement Company's quarry as a
sledgehammer operator. In 1905, he met and married another Hungarian
immigrant, Rose Marie Molnar. They had two children, Gizella Barbara
and James. Gaspar's wages were not enough to maintain the
family; therefore, in the early years, they took in borders to supplement
his income. |
