| DESCRIPTION | ILASCO, MO - These three boys are unidentified. The house behind them less so. This is definitely one of the houses in Pump House Hollow, part of the company housing provided for rent to the immigrant employees and their families by the Atlas Portland Cement Company. It is an exact duplicate of the other 15 houses in this part of the LaBaume Hollow (a.k.a. Pump House Hollow). It was called Pump House Hollow by the inhabitants because the only water source for the houses was an outdoor communal pump. |
