| DESCRIPTION | ILASCO, MO - John Stephens and his two daughters, Lois (left) and Dorothy Mae (right) lean again his 1930 Pontiac which is parked next to the side of Stephens General Store. Mr. Stephens had purchased the store in 1931 after the death of the previous owner. He, his wife Virginia (Roach) Stephens, and their children lived first in the back of the store (south half) and later in the upper living quarters. They lived there from 1931-1939 at which time they moved to Saverton, Mo. where Mr. Stephens owned and operated another store. |
