ILASCO, MO - Charles and Anna M. (Konko)
Kitsock were both born in Pennsylvania and came to Ilasco as infants
when their respective fathers were employed by the cement plant.
Their families had originally immigrated from the Ukraine at the
turn of the century. Originally, the two families lived in company
housing, but it wasn't long before both families purchased land and
housing in Stillwell's Addition, now known as Monkey Run. Upon
reaching adulthood, Mr. Kitsock followed in his father's footsteps,
becoming a worker at the Universal Atlas Cement Plant until his
retirement. They were lifelong residents of Monkey Run. They
had three children, Virginia (Kitsock) Mulhern, Dorothy (Kitsock) Lawson
and Mildred (Kitsock) Golian. |
