| DESCRIPTION | MONKEY RUN - Upon emigrating to America from Austria, Frank Konko worked at the Northampton Plant (Pennsylvania) of the Atlas Portland Cement Company and transferred to the Ilasco plant. He started as an ashman and later became fireman at the coal driers. When he came to Ilasco, he brought his bride, Fannie Yetsela Konko, an Austrian immigrant, with him. Theirs was an arranged marriage. |
