DESCRIPTION	ILASCO, MO - The May Day celebration was a greatly anticipated, annual event.  Students from  the Ilasco Grade School, the Stillwell Addition Grade School (Monkey Run) and the Mill Creek School  participated in this celebration which included a May Pole, singing, games, skits, drills, dancing, crowning of a king and queen, etc.  The celebration itself was held at the Ilasco Grade School.  As the closest school to Ilasco, the students from the Stillwell Addition Grade School would walk to the celebration.  What an exciting procession that must have been.  The only person identified is Corrine Gilbert at the piano.
