Description | HANNIBAL, MO - Children and adults alike await the CB & Q Railroad's newest stainless steel train, the Mark Twain Zephyr, as it enters Union Depot. The time is 9:10 a.m. Aboard the train are Nina Gabrilowitsch (the granddaughter of Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain), the Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher and Huck Finn contestants from the towns north of Hannibal, the 75-piece Quincy Senior High School Band and numerous CB & Q executives. The crew consists of F.O. Brown, W.W. Johnson, and M.E. Dunbar (Dunbar's son, Earl, is one of the two local Huckleberry Finns at the Dedication). |
