Friends President Virginia Mulhern
called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
Vada and Nancy were welcomed.
New and returning Friends were
welcomed.
Moved by Anne Carey and
supported by
Debbie Bastian
to approve the minutes from the meeting of
March 11, 2010.
Motion carried.
Moved by
Jeanie Powers
and supported by Annie Dixon to approve the
financial report andpay the invoice.
Motion carried.
Hallie provided the
Director’s report, including:

Hilary and Toni staffed a booth
at the Senior Expo.
They provided information about the
Library and the Friends.
One box of greeting cards was stolen.

Reorganization of Library staff
has gone smoothly so far.
¨
Plans are in place to
post/advertise three positions:
Assistant Director, Circulation
Associate, Library Shelver
¨
Summer Reading starts Friday,
May 28.
¨
Recently submitted Technology
Plan included replacement of the microfilm
reader/printers.
¨
Krystin Conley
was recently appointed to the Library Board.
Moved by Nancy Scott and
supported by
Rickey Alexander
to seek Limited Membership in Northeast
Missouri Community Foundation.
Motion carried with Hallie abstaining
from voting due to potential conflict of
interest.
Moved by
Rickey Alexander
and supported by
Debbie Bastian
to pay sales taxes, authorize Hallie to get
a check cut, and the filing completed.
Motion carried.
There was consensus to
participate in the Farmer’s Market on the
following dates in 2010:
June 12 (Virginia Mulhern,
Debbie Bastian
), June 26 (Annie Dixon, Anne Carey, and
Jeanie Powers
), July 10 (Nancy Scott,
Krystin Conley
). The
schedule from July 24 was not established.
Hallie noted that the Library’s
Annual Book Sale will be in August.
Friends will greeting cards and
deposit the money in their account.
They will also sell book sale books
and materials with the money being deposited
in the Library’s account.
The meeting for May was
cancelled.
The Library will be closed on July 3.
