FRIENDS OF THE HANNIBAL FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY

Board Meeting:  February 14, 2015, noon

Present:  President Carol Bridgeman and Secretary/Treasurer Hallie Yundt Silver, and Vice-President Virginia Mulhern by speaker phone

Friends President Carol Bridgeman called the Friends Board Meeting to order at noon.

Moved by Hallie Yundt Silver and supported by Virginia Mulhern to approve the Minutes of previous meeting on October 16, 2014.  Motion carried.

Hallie Yundt Silver provided the Director’s Report.  She reported on the following

ü  Filing of the MO Secretary of State’s Non-Profit Registration Report is now biennial.  It needs to be filed in 2015.  She will take care of the filing as soon as she receives the notice.

ü  She paid the sales tax for the Friends in January in the amount of $6.69 on net sales of $80.28, which were fundraisers at the Kick Off in the Park and Library Mini Golf. 

ü  She filed the IRS form 990-PF in January for the Friends.  It needs to be posted on the Friends page of the Library’s website.

ü  She reported that there were now 16 individual and family members of Friends.

Moved by Carol Bridgeman and supported by Virginia Mulhern to accept the Director’s Report.  Motion carried.

Hallie Yundt Silver provided the Financial Report.  She reported that the last bank statement of December 15, 2014, showed a balance in HNB savings was $849.09.  Four invoices approved at the October meeting were paid after this statement.  Dues were deposited.  The balance as of January 29, 2015 was $800.08.

Moved by Virginia Mulhern and supported by Carol Bridgeman to accept the Financial Report.  Motion carried.

Moved by Virginia Mulhern and supported by Hallie Yundt Silver to approve the Financial Report.  Motion carried.

Moved by Hallie Yundt Silver and supported by Virginia Mulhern to resolve to add Carol Bridgeman’s name to the Friends’ Savings Account at HNB.  Discussion followed that Virginia and Hallie were already signatories.  Motion carried.

Moved by Virginia Mulhern and supported by Hallie Yundt Silver to adjourn.  Meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
