President Virginia Mulhern called the
meeting to order at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday,
October 20, 2011.
It was determined that a quorum of
officers was present and the Board was
therefore able to conduct business.
The President and the Library Director
gave brief annual reports.
Dues were collected from three Friends:
Virginia Mulhern,
Debbie Bastian
, and Annie Dixon.
Hallie Yundt Silver
announced that she would pay the Secretary
of State’s filing fee in lieu of
Gary
’s and her dues.
Hallie Yundt Silver
reported that there were five members in
good standing.
She reported that all members in good
standing were present and a quorum of the
membership had been attained.
Nominations were
accepted from the floor.

and supported by
Hallie Yundt Silver
to accept the nomination of
Debbie Bastian
for President, Virginia Mulhern for
Vice-President, and
Hallie Yundt Silver
for Secretary/Treasurer, and to elect by
acclaim.
Motion carried.

thanked the group.
Moved by Annie Dixon and
supported by
Debbie Bastian
to approve the Minutes of the meeting of
February 17, 2011.
Motion carried.
Moved by
Debbie Bastian
and supported by Annie Dixon to accept the
Financial Report as submitted.
Motion carried.
Hallie Yundt Silver
gave the Book Sale Report.
She said that the Library now employed
two part-time Library Shelvers, who can
rotate items in the on-going book sale.
Hallie Yundt Silver
reported that the By-Laws had been converted
to an OCR file.
She said she had sent a first draft of
proposed revisions to Linda Verdier.

and supported by Annie Dixon to request a
bank resolution authorize Secretary
Hallie Yundt Silver
and President
Debbie Bastian
to act for the Friends with regard to the HNB
savings account.
Motion carried.
The Friends Calendar for 2011-2012 was
established by consensus.

Virginia Mulhern
provided food for thought.
She recommended quarterly meetings in
February, June, August and October.
She recommended additionally that
meetings last only one hour.
Debbie decided that the Friends Board
would meet a half-hour before the scheduled
meeting.
